Louis 14 fireback.
Mythological scene, representing Apollo served by the nymphs, after the eponymous sculpted group by Girardin and Regnaudin, made for the park of the Palace of Versailles.
Rich ornamentation of foliage and staples.
The cartouche is supported by two prancing horses.
