Plaster statue "Nude Woman sitting on a balustrade" Frederick BROU (1862-1926). Holding her hair with one hand and leaning on the balustrade with the other hand, the young woman seems delicately to look away down. Student of Larroux and Georges Lemaire, Brou exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in the early 20th century. He also exhibited at the Paris Exposition of 1900. He realized, for the pedestal of the monument to Benjamin Franklin from John J.BOYLE, two reliefs: Louis XVI receives Benjamin Franklin at Versailles - 1778 and Signature of the Treaty of Paris - 1783 (visible in the Yorktown square in Paris). At the request of Léon Bloy, he also realized in 1906 a plaster project for the burial place of poet Villiers de l'Isle Adam, also called The glory getting Auguste Villiers de l'Isle Adam out of his eternal sleep (kept at the Musée Carnavalet in Paris). Frédéric Brou offered another sized version at the Museum of Saint-Brieuc in 1924.
